Barbara spent years as a computer analyst before transitioning into the wellness field in 2005. She trained for medical massage with a Russian Doctor of rehabilitative medicine and then spent an additional year training with a doctor of Chinese medicine. It is her belief that a properly functioning Lymphatic system is Foundational for good health. As a result, treatment begins with cupping for myofascial release to ensure free flowing interstitial fluid. (fluid that fills up the space between the cells It plays an important role in helping cells stay healthy, both by bringing them nutrition and by flushing away their waste, and is one of the main ways the body promotes a stable environment at the tissue level.) Interstitial fluid is comprised of amino acids, sugars, fatty acids, coenzymes, hormones, neurotransmitters, salts, and cellular waste. Interstitial fluid becomes lymph when it’s taken by up lymphatic capillaries. So, the only difference between interstitial fluid and lymph is location. If this system is not free flowing it impacts cellular waste disposal, hormone delivery in the endocrine system and the skeletal system. Muscle work, ETPS, and auricular therapy are all options after the myofascial release. Barbara did extensive work in Florida on post-op and cancer patients. Her passion is to help people on their path to regain and/or maintain their health.
